South Africa to host England, the West Indies and the Netherlands in 2022-23
South Africa will have England, the West Indies and the Netherlands in the 2022-23 summer, uncovered CSA as the board declared the men's international fixtures for the 2022-23 home season.
The season starts with the three-match ODI series versus England in January-February, with the games area of the world Cup Super League. The West Indies show up in South Africa to play two Tests in February-March, which will be the last leg of the second version of the World Test Championship for Dean Elgar's group. This will be followed by a three-match respective ODI and T20I series in March.
The Netherlands will get back to South Africa to play two ODIs of the incomplete three-match series (part of the Super League) that was initially planned for December 2021 however delayed because of the outbreak of the Omicron variation of Coronavirus.
"CSA is excited to have England, West Indies and the Netherlands, every single opponents, in what is charged to be an astonishing summer of international cricket," said CSA CEO Chief Pholetsi Moseki. "This is mainly good news to our fans who have been famished of the mix of cricket on offer at stadiums since the 2020 pandemic. These bumper fixtures confirm that cricket in South Africa is indeed open for business.
"As we look forward to hosting these cricketing powerhouses, we welcome our fans to enlarge the stadiums in numbers to support the Proteas as they clash with the best on the world," Moseki added.
